Amhrán Mór is Oranmore’s first inter-generational choir. This concert brings together Traditional singer Deirbhile Ní Bhrolcháin, singer songwriter and guitarist Steve Johnston and fiddler Tony Trundle. The concert will focus mainly on songs from the Irish Tradition but with some more modern songs also. Music on the evening will include ballads and sean-nós songs, some with local ties but most treat themes that exist worldwide and tug at the heartstrings like love, heartache, homesickness et al. There will be some surprise guests also.
